DAY 1: Drive from Arusha, head west towards Lake Manyara National Park. After a game drive proceed to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the shimmering lake. (130 km. 2 1/2 hrs.).
DAY 2: After morning game drive, proceed to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch noticing the change in terrain from highland forest to open plain. View game en route to the lodge for overnight at Serengeti Sopa/Seronera or Lobo Lodge.
DAY 3: Morning and afternoon game viewing in the park. Overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa/Seronera or Lobo Lodge.
DAY 4: After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater visiting Olduvai Gorge to see the famous archeological site. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa, Wildlife or Crater Lodge.
DAY 5: Spend a full day in the legendary crater viewing an astonishing array of wildlife, with picnic lunch. Overnight stay at Ngorongoro Sopa, Wildlife or Crater Lodge.
DAY 6: After breakfast, depart for Arusha arriving for lunch. (190 kms. 4 hrs.). Tour may end in Nairobi.
LT 52 6 NIGHTS TARANGIRE - LAKE MANYARA - SERENGETI - NGORONGORO CRATER (7 DAYS)
DAY 1:
DAY 2: After breakfast,continue to Lake Manyara National Park for lunch, game drive and overnight at the lodge. (205 km., 4 1/2 Hrs.).
DAY 3: After breakfast proceed to Gibb's Farm for lunch. Continue to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in the park.
DAY 4: Full day game viewing in the Serengeti encompassing the largest migratory concentration of plains game in the world. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge in the Park.
DAY 5: Morning game viewing en route to Ngorongoro and a stop for picnic lunch at Olduvai Gorge. Here fossils of some of man's earliest ancestors have been found giving rise to the theory that East Africa may have been the 'Cradle of mankind'. Spend the next two nights at a lodge overlooking Ngorongoro Crater.
DAY 6: A full day game viewing by 4WD in the Crater. Ngorongoro is one of the finest game viewing areas in Africa and dubbed by some as the 8th Wonder of the World. The scenery is incomparable and a day in the crater is an experience unlikely to be forgotten.
DAY 7: After breakfast, return to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch. (190 km. 4 Hrs.)
ALTERNATIVES - Tanzania road safaris can also originated from Nairobi or Mombasa with border formalities at Namanga or Taveta respectively, before proceeding to Arusha. Alternatively, regular flights are available from Nairobi and Mombasa to Tanzania.
LT 53 10 NIGHTS CLASSIC AFRICAN SAFARI KENYA - TANZANIA (11 DAYS)
DAY 2: After breakfast, continue North across the Equator, to the home of the Samburu people. Marvel at the rugged scenery of isolated crags and springs in this semi-arid region. After a game drive, relax in the comfort of your lodge (207 kms. 3 1/2 Hrs.).
DAY 3: Morning and later afternoon, game drive along the Uaso Nyiro River. In addition to the carnivorous, view the rare species of herbivorous such as the Beisa Oryx or Grevy's Zebra. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DAY 4: The drive to Lake Nakuru provides stunning vistas between the escarpment of the Rift Valley. During your game drive, behold the amazing site of candy pink Flamingoes lining the waters of this alkaline lake (315 kms., 5 1/2 Hrs.) Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
DAY 5: After breakfast, depart for Nairobi arriving before lunch. Afternoon at your leisure (160 kms., 3 Hrs.)Dinner and overnight at Panafric Hotel or similar hotel.
DAY 6: After breakfast, drive and cross the border to Tanzania at Namanga, stopping at Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Spend the night at Lake Manyara Hotel (415 kms., 10 Hrs).
DAY 7: Morning game drive reveals the famous tree-climbing lions, which spend most of the day along branches of Acacia trees. After lunch, proceed to Serengeti National Park for the night at the Serengeti Sopa/Seronera Lodge (205 kms., 4 Hrs.).
DAY 8: Experience an exciting spectacle of the astounding concentration of game and extensive bird life at home at the Serengeti plains. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa/Seronera Lodge.
DAY 9: After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, continue to "the cradle of mankind" at Olduvai Gorge. Proceed to Ngorongoro for the night at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (250 kms., 6 Hrs.).
DAY 10: During the day's game drive discover this legendary crater containing the greatest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa. Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 11: After breakfast, drive stopping at Arusha for lunch, return to Nairobi via Namanga arriving in the evening (475 kms., 10 Hrs.)
