LT 111 3 NIGHTS TARANGIRE - NGORONGORO - LAKE MANYARA (4 DAYS) DAY 1: Tarangire - Morning departure from Nairobi, arriving at the at Namanga (Tanzania border) at 1000 hrs. Drive on to Arusha for lunch then on to Tarangire National Park for your overnight stay in a campsite. An evening game drive followed by dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Ngorongoro - After an early breakfast, leave for the amazing Ngorongoro Crater in a 4 WD vehicle for a full day of game viewing. Have picnic lunch and later return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Manyara - Drive to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast for a full day game viewing. This area is renowned for tree climbing Lions! You may see large flocks of Flamingoes on your return to the lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Nairobi - After breakfast you drive to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. Then you return to Nairobi arriving late in the evening.
DAY 2: Ngongoro - After an early breakfast, you leave in a 4 WD vehicle for the amazing Ngorongoro Crater for a full game viewing with picnic lunch. There is a greater concentration of game here than anywhere else in Africa. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: Serengeti - Leave after breakfast for a drive to Serengeti National Park stopping at Olduvai Gorge, site of the famous remains of man's earliest ancestors discovered by Dr. Leakey's family. Lunch and afternoon game viewing from your lodge or campsite base, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Serengeti - After breakfast you go to different parts of Serengeti for a full day of game viewing stopping only for lunch. The Serengeti is famous for the annual Wildbeest migration to the Masaai Mara which is best seen in the months of August and September. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in the Lodge or campsite.
DAY 5: Nairobi - An early breakfast and departure for Arusha, lunch at the Namanga (Tanzania border) crossing into Kenya, arriving in Nairobi in the evening.
LT 113 6 NIGHTS KILIMANJARO (MARANGU ROUTE) (7 DAYS) DAY 2: Marangu Gate - Mandara Hut - After breakfast drive to Marangu gate (1860 m) and start climbing through the rain forest to Mandara Hut, (2744 m). Here your meals are prepared and you will stay overnight.
DAY 3: Horombo Hut - After an early breakfast you trek through Alpine meadows for 10 hrs. with superb views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The day finishes at Horombo Hut at 4176 m where you have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Kibo Hut - After breakfast there is a 13 km. walk for about 6 hrs. to reach Kibo Hut (4732 m). There is spectacular vegetation - mountain giant cactus, groundsel and lobelia. Dinner and overnight stay in the Hut.
DAY 5: Gilman's Point - Uhuru Peak - An early morning start 0200 hrs. as it takes about 6 hrs. to climb this steepest and most difficult part of the route to Gilman's Point (5896 m) before descending to Horombo for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6: Marangu Gate - Moshi - Descent is rapid. After breakfast you walk on to Marangu gate and are driven to Moshi where you stay overnight.
DAY 7: Arusha - Nairobi - After breakfast you are driven to Arusha for lunch and then to Nairobi via Namanga border town arriving late evening.
