LT 56 5 NIGHTS HIGHLIGHTS OF TANZANIA - NAIROBI/MANYARA/SERENGETI/NGORONGORO (6 DAYS)

DAY 1: Drive across the border at Namanga to Arusha in Tanzania for lunch. Drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel.

DAY 2: Morning game drive in the small but interesting Lake Manyara National Park famous for its tree climbing lions and bird life around the lake, lunch and then drive to the Serengeti National Park for 2 nights stay at Serengeti Lodge.

DAY 3: Full day in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife area in Africa where enormous herds of Zebra and Wildebeest migrate across the plain ever watchful for the lighting strike of Cheetah or Lion. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 4: Morning game drive with picnic lunch at Olduvai Gorge. Continue to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for the night stay at the lodge.

DAY 5: Full day game viewing at the crater with picnic lunch. On this 102 sq. miles crater floor the grassland plains and Acacia copses are home to Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Rhino.

DAY 6: Drive back to Arusha for lunch and continue to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

LT 57 7 NIGHTS SELOUS - RUAHA (8 DAYS) - MON./THU./SAT.

DAY 1: Meet and transfer to Dar-es-Salaam Ariport for flight to Selous Game Reserve for night stay at Mbuyuni Safari Camp. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive.

DAY 2: Early morning game walk and afternoon boat trip. The Selous is a vast wilderness area of 12,000 sq. miles with the largest Elephant population in the world. Camps are situated on the Rufiji river where game drives, walks and boat trips are available.

DAY 3: Full day game drive in the Selous Reserve with picnic lunch.

DAY 4: Morning boat trip and afternoon game walk.

DAY 5: Late morning flight to Ruaha National Park for afternoon game drive and three night stay at Mwagusi Safari Camp.

DAY 6: Full day game drive with picnic lunch. Ruaha is the least visited park but here there are Elephants, greater Kudu, Hunting Dogs, Hippo and Crocodile.

DAY 7: Morning and afternoon game drives.

DAY 8: Early lunch with afternoon air transfer to Dar-es-salaam.

LT 58 3 NIGHTS AT RUFIJI RIVER CAMP - SELOUS GAME RESERVE BY AIR (4 DAYS) Departures on Sundays, return on Wednesdays.

DAY 1: Depart from Dar es Salaam Airport at 9.30 am by light aircraft. Transfer from the airstrip to Rufiji River Camp. Lunch and afternoon excursion (car, boat or walking safari). Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

DAY 2 & 3: Morning and afternoon excursions by car, boat or walking safari. Full board accommodation at Rufiji River Camp.

DAY 4: At leisure. Late morning return flight to Dar es Salaam.

LT 59 2 NIGHTS AT RUFIJI RIVER CAMP - SELOUS GAME RESERVE BY CAR AND FLIGHT (3 DAYS) Departure everyday.

DAY 1: Departure in the morning in a 4 WD vehicle to the Selous Game Reserve with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

DAY 2: Morning and afternoon excursions by car, boat or walking. Full board accommodation at Rufiji River Camp.

DAY 3: Morning Excursions by car, boat or walking safari. After lunch return flight to Dar es Salaam.
