MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - The waters of the Nile storm turbulently through a narrow crevice 7m in diameter, to crash into a series of foaming, roaring cascades on rock below, creating one of the world's greatest waterfalls. This is the largest national park in Uganda, covering over 4000 sq km since the inclusion of the adjoining national game reserve. It is one of the most spectacular parks in Africa. Renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls from which it gets its name. The park has abundant flora and fauna to delight the visitor. From rolling savanah and tall grasslands to thick bush and woodlands, the diversity of the park never ceases to amaze.

No visit to Murchison Falls would be complete without a visit to the magnificent falls. They can be viewed from the top where the River Nile narrows from 50 metres to crush through a 7-metre gorge, falling 45 metres to the rocks below.

The three-hour cruise to the base of the falls is also unforgatable. One can experience the majesty of the Nile while on board, viewing abundant wildlife along the banks.

      The more adventurous traveller

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - In the southern part of the park is the Isaha area with tree climbing lions and Maramgambo, one of the largest natural forests in Africa. The northern part is dominated by breath taking crater lakes. A launch trip along the Kazinga channel joining Lake Edward and Lake George is an added attraction.

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK - Picture of Baby Mountain GorillaUganda's impenetrable forest is home to the shy mountain gorillas. Incredibly dense, this forest is a spectacular sight and provides the opportunity for gorilla tracking with experienced guides. From only a few feet away, watching these shy animals in their natural environment is a truly rare and moving experience.
