LT 73 7 NIGHTS ZIMBABWE - ZAMBEZI SPLENDOUR (8 DAYS)

The mighty Zambezi breaking over the Victoria Falls provides a magnificent backdrop to Zimbabwe 's profusion of wildlife. Safaris here are enjoyed in high quality lodges, with game viewing by 4-wheel drive vehicles and by boat. Zimbabwe is a good example of a successful balance between nature and the tourist. The mighty Victoria Falls, is the highlight of anyone's visit, but with well established lodges and the vast man-made L. Kariba to augment his sight, many visitors continue to return.

DAY 1: Depart Nairobi and fly to Harare (a three hour flight). On arrival, met and transferred to the Meikles Hotel in the center of Harare for one night, on a bed and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is spent at leisure.

DAY: 2: Lake Kariba- Morning flight to Lake Kariba. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Bumi Hills, situated in the edge of this vast man-made lake. Here you will experience the thrill of viewing game at close quarters on your afternoon game drive, whilst relaxing in the balmy Kariba atmosphere. Accommodation is on an all inclusive basis. Overnight at Bumi hills.

DAY 3: Lake Kariba - An early morning game drive will enable you to experience the joy of a morning in the African bush. A relaxing day continues in the afternoon as you embark on another game drive or cruise the placid lakeshores. Dinner and overnight at Bumi Hills.

DAY 4: After breakfast, return to Kariba airport for your flight to Hwange. Transfer to Sikumi Lodge, or Sable Valley Lodge, on the edge of the Hwange Game Reserve, on a full board basis, for 2 nights. A late afternoon game drive will see you experiencing the delights of Hwange's vast numbers of game. Overnight at your lodge.

DAY 5: Hwange - Two further game drives will ensure that you view the myriad species of game that flourish in Hwange. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 6: Victoria Falls- After breakfast, transfer to Hwange Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls, "The Smoke that Thunders". You will stay overnight at the elegant Victoria Falls Hotel or a hotel of similar standards for two nights, on bed and breakfast basis. This afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the falls, a crocodile sanctuary, and slip into the night with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

DAY 7: Victoria Falls - The day is spent at your leisure until the early evening when you will experience "African Spectacular" show at the Victoria Falls Hotel.

DAY 8: Return - Mid-morning/early afternoon transfer to Victora Falls Airport, for your flight to Harare, where you will board your flight to Nairobi.
